Tobias B. Bacherle is an external Senior Advisor for Tech and Digital Policy at 365 Sherpas BPI where he leverages his expertise in digital policy and political processes to advise tech-sector clients on strategic positioning, political communication, and advocacy.

He can be called upon by 365 Sherpas BPI as needed to contribute his digital policy expertise and political process knowledge to strategic consulting mandates. His focus is on advising clients in the tech sector on strategic positioning, political communication, and lobbying.

From 2021 to 2025, he served as a Member of the German Bundestag for Alliance 90/The Greens, acting as the parliamentary group’s Chairman in the Committee on Digital Affairs and as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. His legislative work focused on data governance, information integrity, AI regulation, European digital sovereignty, the future of digital infrastructure, and sustainability in the tech industry.

Prior to his parliamentary tenure, Tobias Bacherle was active in local politics, worked in parliamentary offices at the European and state levels, and managed political campaigns as a freelancer. He holds a degree in political science and media studies, co-founded dit is schade e.V. to promote subculture and pop culture, and serves on the board of trustees of the student exchange organization Experiment e.V..

Since 2026, Tobias B. Bacherle has been building a pan-European think tank in Germany as Germany Senior Lead at FOTI (Future of Technology Institute).
